# Demo audio — MP3 delivery

`demo.json` plans 49 cues and 146 variants, all with MP3 output paths. The final
format is 44.1 kHz MP3: mono effects/ambience at 64 kbps and stereo music at
80 kbps. Keep prompts, provider settings, selected result numbers and hashes.
No WAV editing masters or duplicate review files are retained.

`runtime.json` is the playable inventory: 33 selected MP3s in `src/audio/runtime`,
936,435 bytes in 11 cue groups. The existing peak normalization and 400 ms
equal-power loop joins were already baked into these files; consolidation did
not re-encode them. The shotgun revision supplies four blasts and three pumps,
scheduled 250 ms after each accepted shot. Native Web Audio decodes embedded
bytes after a player gesture; pause/mute/focus loss stop playback.

The first-batch and shotgun-revision manifests preserve exact generation
prompts/settings and historical download/review hashes. Their current file
entries point to the retained runtime MP3s. Original downloads, WAV reviews and
superseded first-batch shotgun takes were deleted at the user's request.

For future ElevenLabs computer-use work, follow `production.generationOrder`,
combine `baseDirection` with each cue's prompt, and generate separately named
performances. If a download is WAV, convert once to the chosen MP3 output, then
delete the temporary download. Do not convert MP3 back to WAV. Listen for clean
transients, unintended voices/music, distinct takes and three repeats of every
loop. Only mark an output generated after saving and checking its actual bytes.

Run `pnpm test:sounds` for the planned catalogue and `pnpm test:audio` for current
playback rules, runtime hashes and retained provenance. The full production
queue remains planned. Falls/head bursts/player death have simulation hooks but
their recordings remain pending. Reload currently plays one insertion cue during
its timer. Physical speaker output and a full listening/mix pass remain unverified.
